Downtown Roseville welcomed its newest economic driver this week with the grand opening of the Roseville Innovation Center, a 45,000-square-foot technology hub designed to attract startups and established tech companies to the region.

The $18 million facility represents a major milestone in the city's economic diversification strategy. The Innovation Center features modern coworking spaces, private offices, conference rooms, and a 200-seat event venue. The facility also houses a startup incubator program offering mentorship, funding connections, and business development resources to early-stage companies.

Initial tenants include software development firms, digital marketing agencies, and clean energy startups. Mayor Pauline Roccucci cut the ribbon at Wednesday's ceremony, joined by representatives from the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Sacramento Economic Council. 'This facility positions Roseville as a serious player in the regional tech economy,' Roccucci stated.

'We're creating an ecosystem where innovation thrives and good-paying jobs are created.' The center is expected to create approximately 200 direct jobs within its first year, with additional indirect employment generated through the success of incubated startups. The facility offers fiber-optic internet connectivity, 24/7 access, and proximity to downtown restaurants and amenities.

Several companies have already signed lease agreements, with additional space filling rapidly.
