Sutter Health broke ground on a state-of-the-art medical center in West Roseville that will significantly expand healthcare access for residents throughout Placer County.
The $120 million facility will offer comprehensive outpatient services including imaging, laboratory, physical therapy, and specialty care clinics when it opens in late 2027. The 150,000-square-foot medical center will employ approximately 300 healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, technicians, and administrative staff.
The facility is strategically located near the intersection of Pleasant Grove Boulevard and Fiddyment Road, an area experiencing rapid residential growth. Sutter Health CEO Warner Thomas emphasized the project's importance: 'This investment demonstrates our commitment to meeting the healthcare needs of Roseville's growing population.
Patients will have access to advanced medical services close to home, reducing the need to travel to Sacramento for specialized care.' The center will feature the latest medical technology and patient-centered design. Specialty services will include cardiology, orthopedics, women's health, pediatrics, and urgent care.
The facility will also house a comprehensive imaging center with MRI, CT, ultrasound, and mammography capabilities. Sutter Health conducted extensive community needs assessments to determine which services to include, ensuring the center addresses the most pressing healthcare gaps in the region.
The project is expected to generate significant economic activity during construction and provide long-term employment opportunities for local healthcare professionals.
